DANNY MOSCOSO
Danny Moscoso also known as D.Mos was born in Lima, Peru and currently lives and works in Los Angeles. His pieces are predominantly in the medium of mixed-media painting, using lots of vibrant colorful tones. His work draws from his love for music, and is influenced by contemporary iconic figures.
Moscoso graduated from Loyola Marymount University. His career has afforded studies and training in illustration, painting, graphic design, photography and ceramics.
D.Mos donated a large collage piece of the Peruvian flag to the Peruvian General Consulate in Los Angeles, during the grand re-opening of their offices. This piece, comprised of hundreds of recycled paper pieces, is entitled “Pedazos de Mi Corazon”, and hangs on the office walls to welcome guests.
The original “Petty”, a hand-drawn, pointillism piece, comprised of thousands of dots, was gifted to Tom Petty directly after his very last live performance at the Hollywood Bowl, wrapping up their 40th Anniversary Tour.
His work has been exhibited at the Peruvian Consulate, Los Angeles, Loyola Marymount University, KGB Studios, 1st Point Studios, Artlife Gallery, LabArt Gallery, Pancakes & Booze Art Show, Chocolate and Art Show, Thinkspace Gallery, Los Ruano Gallery, Long Beach First Friday’s Artwalk, Torrance Art Museum and 1650 Gallery & Studio, among others.
Expressions by D.Mos

This piece captures a cinematic moment of solitude, illuminated by a single beam of light. The vibrant suit contrasts against the dark background to show both resilience and vulnerability — two themes that resonate deeply with me as an artist. It’s about presence, style, and the raw honesty of being under the spotlight.

The neon strokes and spotlight in this work are inspired by the golden era of jazz and timeless stage presence. I wanted the colors to feel like music themselves — layered, improvisational, and bold. The figure’s quiet confidence in the glow reflects the mix of nostalgia and contemporary energy that I love to explore in my paintings.

This portrait celebrates the electric charisma of music legends who shaped culture. With saturated purples, oranges, and beaded details glowing like city lights, the piece is a tribute to rhythm and soul. Music has always been a driving force in my art, and this painting carries that same vibrancy, movement, and timeless cool.

This lion piece reflects both strength and unity, created through hundreds of vibrant paper fragments layered into a bold, mosaic-like mane. The use of deep reds and blues captures intensity and resilience, while the lion’s steady gaze represents courage and pride. Like much of my work, it draws from rhythm and energy — meant to feel alive and unshakable
